  • Cognizant Foundation (CF) was set up in India in the year 2005, as an independent corporate entity (Section 8 not-for-profit Company). 
  • The Cognizant Foundation India aims to provide access to quality education, healthcare, and skilling opportunities for underprivileged sections of society.

  • Cognizant Foundation India is building a sustainable ecosystem at the intersection of inclusion, technology, and collaboration.
  • Its vision is: “To be a model social organization that enables and facilitates underprivileged sections of the society in India to access quality education, healthcare, and skilling opportunities”.

  • Cognizant Foundation focuses on empowering persons with disabilities, promoting holistic child development, and fostering gender equality.

  • Intrinsic merit of the proposal and its adherence to Cognizant Foundation Charter and the credibility of the organization/institution seeking the grant will be the key criteria for consideration
  • Review of the project proposal and due diligence of the organization seeking the grant - by Cognizant Foundation Secretariat directly and through local core committees as appropriate
  • Recommended/shortlisted proposals put up to Cognizant Foundation Board of Directors for their final decision
  • Cognizant Foundation grants are designed to bring in systemic change. The grants are typically utilised for implementing development programs in the areas of Education, Healthcare and Skilling. Expenses are typically incurred for specialised human resources to implement the programs and where required specific technology aids, devices, equipment are also funded as long as it is coincidental to the program being implemented. Cognizant Foundation does not entertain requests for providing financial support for administrative/establishment/maintenance expenses or fund any specific monetary needs of Cognizant associates.

  • There are primarily 2 modes of involvement possible. A) Volunteer in a Cognizant Foundation project, for which you need to connect with the Cognizant Outreach POC in your base location B) Conduct a project site visit in your base location on the request of Cognizant Foundation, which will help the PMO team ascertain the progress of the project.
